Maja Lisa Engelhardt is one of Denmark's leading painters and printmakers, known for her powerful, lyrical works inspired by the forms, colours, and atmosphere of the natural world. Her art often explores the spiritual and poetic qualities of the landscape, moving between expressive painting and meditative abstraction.
Throughout her career, Engelhardt has received widespread recognition both in Denmark and internationally. Her work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) and the David Owsley Museum of Art at Ball State University in the United States, reflecting the international reach of her artistic practice.
